Sister Getaway at the Ocean House, Rhode Island

My sisters and I were long overdue for a getaway. The last time we were away together was when my older sister (I’m the oldest, she is the older of my two sisters) was pregnant with her second child 6 years ago! So we went away for my older sister’s birthday to the Ocean House in Rhode Island. It was a fabulous trip, just a few days, so fun and relaxing.

The hotel was beautiful. Right on the beach.
And even though it was September and we used the beach towels as blankets, we still spent the whole day under the sun on the beach.
The hotel was next to Taylor Swift’s house so one morning we took a walk on the beach.
TAnd got a closer look at Taylor Swift’s house. It looked amazing from so far away.
This was our room. Comfy and cozy. Fantastic bathroom, something I very much appreciate. Perfect for relaxing in the evening while we watched TV together.
Loved the Ocean House’s attention to detail and making us feel at home. There was a pillow on the bed with an embroidered “J” because my last name starts with “J”.
We spent an afternoon at the spa getting facials and massages. Glorious.
We borrowed bikes from the hotel and biked to the lighthouse.
Then biked to the Cooked Goose for breakfast and I ordered the eggs benedict with lobster and crispy hash brown. Yum.
One evening the hotel let us borrow a convertible to go to dinner. What a fun ride.
One evening we went to the Breakwater in Stoningham Harbor and this was the view from our table.
My last meal was this New England vegetable hash for breakfast at the Bistro in the Ocean House. Every meal we ate on our vacation was just as beautiful and delicious.
I had a wonderful time with my sisters. The hotel, the food, activities, and time together was so great. I very much appreciate all of us taking time out of our regular busy lives to be together and catch up with each other.
